‘The Invisible Man’ Actor Aldis Hodge Will Play Hawkman in ‘Orphan’ Director’s ‘Black Adam’

DC’s Black Adam gets his own solo movie next year with box office juggernaut Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in the title role of a film being directed by Jaume Collet-Serra (Orphan, The Shallows), and we’ve learned tonight via Deadline that The Invisible Man actor Aldis Hodge is now in talks to co-star as the DC Comics superhero Hawkman.

The character debuted in Flash Comics #1 way back in 1940, and multiple different iterations of Hawkman/Carter Hall have appeared in the comics throughout the years.

Deadline also adds, “Noah Centineo is playing Atom Smasher.”

As we recently learned out of DC FanDome, Dr. Fate and Cyclone will also appear as members of the JSA in Black Adam, which will arrive in theaters on December 22, 2021.

Rory Haines and Sohrab Noshirvani wrote the script’s most recent draft.
