Rumours has it that Netflix is working on a live-action reboot of The Addams Family series starring Johnny Depp and Eva Green.

Promotional posters showing Johnny Depp and Eva Green as Gomez and Morticia Addams are making their rounds the internet leading many to believe that Netflix might be working on an The Addams Family live-action series reboot.

Is Netflix making a live-action reboot of The Addams Family? There’s no doubt that Johnny Depp is as perfect for the role of of Gomez as Eva Green is for Morticia Addams. Both actors have shown undeniable chemistry in the film Dark Shadows (2012); a movie that oozed an Addams Family vibe.

Now the couple are rumoured to be working on their second film together, a Netflix live-action reboot of the classic The Addams Family movies.

Both Depp and Green have demonstrated that they are more than capable of taking on such iconic roles. They have both previously worked with legendary macabre visionary-director Tim Burton in the past, and he has recently confirmed that he is working on a live-action The Addams Family reboot.

Tim Burton’s reboot of The Addams Family is already in development, Screen Rant reports. A source close to production told Sausage Roll that Netflix has made a substantial bid for the IP and the series will most likely be exclusive to the platform. The project would be Tim Burton’s first time directing a television series.

However, there have been no confirmation of casting and the series is said to be focused mainly on Wednesday Addams. It is very likely that the posters of Johnny Depp and Eva Green as Gomez and Morticia Addams are merely fan art.

But, in all seriousness, who honestly would be a better pick for The Addams Family live-action series than Johnny Depp and Eva Green?
