Single Review – PondHawks “Invisible Stranger”

As the second wave of the pandemic hits us hard and the world shifts as we try and shape ourselves to fit, a song I originally came across near the beginning of this isolation called Invisible Stranger rings out. The strength of the song as well as the relevance hit almost as hard as the second wave.

The PondHawks, a Chicago based indie group who grow in popularity daily,  are responsible for this inspirational warning. Although many artists claim this to be a creative time period, The PondHawks acted on the sentiment. The powerful song fills the airways with hope, courageous lyrics, synth, sparkle and grand harmonies. The social media and reverbnation superstars Mario Novelli and Jorie Gracen are a genre anomaly whose Beatle influences are not afraid to be noticed.

The duo are true story tellers spreading the words of their musical novel on the pages of our lives. With a fan base of over 600,000, it is easy to see why their fans stay loyal. They are considered a leading indie band and are credited for their colorful lyrics, sensational harmonies with a style that is unique. Before the pandemic they demanded huge audiences and played multiple festivals.

Invisible Stranger is the type of tune that will go down in musical history as much as these historic times. Listen closely for their next release and keep your eye on this band!
