[Trailer] Amazon’s “Them”: When the Monsters Are…Your Neighbors

Amazon has one of the year’s best new series in “Them”, a new social horror that “gets off to [a] solid start with intensity and relentless terror,” wrote Meagan Navarro in her review of the first two episodes that screened at SXSW this past weekend.

Amazon has released a full trailer for “Them”, in which the Emory family moves to Compton only to find out that there are monsters everywhere…their neighbors. But it’s much, much worse, according to the trailer, which teases that they’re also trapped inside of a haunted house.

Written by Little Marvin, the 1953-set series, “Centers around Alfred and Lucky Emory, who decide to move their family from North Carolina to an all-white Los Angeles neighborhood. The family’s home on a tree-lined, seemingly idyllic street becomes ground zero where malevolent forces both real and supernatural threaten to taunt, ravage and destroy them.”

Executive produced by Marvin and Lena Waithe, “Them” stars Deborah Ayorinde, Ashley Thomas, Alison Pill, Shahadi Wright Joseph, Melody Hurd, and Ryan Kwanten.

Amazon serves up a slice of rotten apple pie on Prime Video this coming April 9, 2021.
