‘Creepy Crawly’ – Thai Creature Feature Brings Gross-Out Centipede Horror to U.S. Digital in October

One of the most criminally underappreciated and infrequently mentioned horror films in recent years is Conor McMahon‘s ultra-gory slasher Stitches, featuring world-renowned British standup comedian Ross Noble as a murderous kids’ birthday party clown.

In this deliriously twisted slasher comedy, vile and foul-mouthed hired clown Stitches meets an untimely end thanks to a party prank gone horribly – and hilariously – awry. Years later, he returns from the grave, ready for revenge…

Fans of Terrifier and Stephen King’s IT are going to lose their minds over this clown-themed ultra-slasher that’s not only gory AF but insanely fun. Make it a priority to stream Stitches this week/end on SCREAMBOX, courtesy of our friends at MPI and Dark Sky Films!

“Years after a cruel kids’ prank during a birthday party for 8-year-old Tommy (Tommy Knight) left hired clown Richard “Stitches” Grindle (Noble) dead on the kitchen floor, the childhood friends gather to plan a birthday bash to end all bashes. But they haven’t counted on the degenerate jester rising from the grave to seek vengeance on the children who mocked him and caused his grisly, untimely end. Now Tommy and his teenage friends are on the run from an undead jokester who’s ready to use every trick in the book (and many that aren’t) to exact his revenge.

“McMahon delivers a delirious slasher epic, a hilariously twisted and blood-soaked tale of one very bad clown with a talent for making balloon animals – but with one very hideous difference.“

Paul Le previously wrote about this Irish slasher, noting that “Ross Noble’s fiendish character delivers one-liners like Freddy Krueger and kills with Jason Voorhees’ precision,” while Meagan’s remembrance notes the film as “a perfect antidote to a grueling workday.” Further adding: “An easy, breezy plot combined with a whole heaping helping of gore serves up yet another reminder why we love the genre so much; pure cathartic entertainment.”
