Shudder Brings Together the ‘Boys from County Hell’ on the Poster for Upcoming Vampire Movie [Exclusive]

It was announced earlier today that Shudder has acquired North American rights to the vampire comedy Boys from County Hell, and we’re serving up their poster for the film tonight.

Take a bite down below!

Shudder will premiere the film in the US and Canada in 2021.

“The film follows Eugene Moffat, who spends his days drinking pints with his friends and pranking tourists at the grave site of Abhartach — a legendary Irish vampire who may have inspired Stoker’s infamous Dracula. Sinister events unfold when Eugene and his father’s construction crew knock over Abhartach’s supposed resting place and they are attacked by an infected workmate.”

The cast includes Jack Rowan (Peaky Blinders), Nigel O’Neill (The Bookshop), Louisa Harland (Derry Girls), Fra Free (Animals) and John Lynch (The Terror).

Chris Baugh wrote and directed the film.

Meagan wrote in her review, “There’s a lot to love about Boys from County Hell. The vampire mythology means that the standard rules of slaying them don’t apply, and this creature is unlike any vampire before. This killer gets remarkably gory in its kills, too.”
