The Grim Reaper Aims to Collect Souls More Efficiently in Upcoming Horror-Comedy “Grim Inc.”

Making us wish for a solo film centered on William Sadler’s Death from the Bill & Ted movies, Variety has announced today an upcoming series titled “Grim Inc.,” headed our way courtesy of Rise Pictures and Simonsays Pictures. The project is said to be a “dark supernatural comedy series,” centered on the Grim Reaper and his efforts to expedite soul collecting.

Variety details, “Grim Inc. revolves around a secretive, multinational enterprise founded by Death some 70 years ago. At his limits following two world wars and facing the exponential population growth that reached unimaginable proportions in the 1950s, the industrious Reaper decides to start the company to more efficiently collect the souls of the dearly departed.”

Tali Barde, Claudio Franke, Dominik Hochwald and Katja Winke created the series.

Rise’s Ulrich Schwarz teases the German-language series, “Laced with dry, black humor, the show will focus on the bizarre world of Death’s employees and get to the bottom of the most universal mysteries of human existence, rounded off with an imaginative and unconventional visual style and production design, and an atmospheric touch of noir.”
