First Look at ‘Hide and Seek’ Remake, Acquired by Saban Films

Bloody Disgusting has just scored a first look at CJ Entertainment’s horror-thriller remake Hide And Seek with news that Saban Films has taken North American, UK and Irish rights to the Joel David Moore (HatchetYouth in Oregon) directed redo of the 2013 hit (read our review).

“Dracula’s” Jonathan Rhys Meyers leads cast alongside Jacinda Barrett (“Bloodline”), Joe Pantoliano (“The Sopranos”) and Mustafa Shakir (“Luke Cage”).

“When a wealthy businessman follows a lead to find his missing brother, he dives headlong into a twisted underworld of squatters and vagrants that threatens to tear apart his family as he struggles to maintain his sanity.”

Hide and Seek is a social horror-thriller that builds upon themes related to the widening gap between the upper 1% and the lower class,” explains the press release. “As population in urban areas balloon and real estate prices skyrocket, lower-income segments of society are finding themselves continually getting pushed out. This film explores the question of ‘what if’ when those left marginalized decide to take matters, and homes, into their own hands.”

Watch for a trailer and release news as it comes in.
