‘Katla’: A Subglacial Volcano Erupts and Unleashes Eerie Horrors in Scandinavian Netflix Series [Trailer]

After the season one finale of HBO Max‘s “Raised by Wolves” busted the show’s world and mythology wide open with a handful of revelations, we’re dying to see what comes next. And the good news is that the Ridley Scott-produced series was renewed for a second season before the first season wrapped up, so more “Raised by Wolves” is indeed on the way soon.

Deadline brings us Season 2 casting news today, reporting that Peter Christoffersen (When the Dust Settles)Selina Jones (Fragments), Morgan Santo (The Watch), James Harkness (The Victim, Anne Boleyn), Kim Engelbrecht (Eye in the Sky, The Flash), and Jennifer Saayeng (Cursed, The Capture) will join the returning leads from the first season.

Head over to Deadline for character details and more. For starters, Deadline notes that “Selina Jones will play “Grandmother,” a god-like android, built thousands of years ago.”

“In season two, Android partners Mother (Amanda Collin) and Father (Abubakar Salim), along with their brood of six human children, join a newly formed atheistic colony in Kepler 22 b’s mysterious tropical zone. But navigating this strange new society is only the start of their troubles as Mother’s “natural child” threatens to drive what little remains of the human race to extinction.”
