‘Ghostbusters: Afterlife’: Fresh Images Introduce New Characters and New Locations for “Ghostbusters Day”

Jason Reitman‘s Ghostbusters: Afterlife, a sequel to the original classic(s), is currently set for theatrical release on November 11, 2021, and some new images were debuted by IGN as part of today’s “Ghostbusters Day” celebration. We’ve got our first look at Celeste O’Connor‘s character, for starters, along with a brand new shot of the classic Ecto-1 back in action.

You can also meet Logan Kim‘s character down below, with one of the brand new locations from Afterlife seen up above. This time around, we’re not in New York City anymore…

Reitman explained to IGN tonight, “We wanted to go somewhere new. This film had to get out of the city and it had to be about a family discovering who they were.”

In this year’s Ghostbusters film, written by Jason Reitman and Gil Kenan:

When a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

Afterlife‘s cast includes Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace and Paul Rudd.

Bill MurrayDan AykroydErnie HudsonSigourney Weaver and Annie Potts are all coming back for this sequel to the original classic, reprising their iconic and beloved roles.
