Strand of Oaks Unveils New Single ‘Somewhere in Chicago’

Strand of Oaks has shared the third single from his forthcoming record In Heaven, which comes out October 1 via Thirty Tigers. It’s called ‘Somewhere in Chicago’, and it follows previous entries ‘Jimi & Stan’ and ‘Galacticana’ (which was our Song of the Week). Give the track a listen below.

“My ode to the late John Prine and the midwestern ethos he so perfectly embodied,” Tim Showalter said of ‘Somewhere in Chicago’ in a press release. “The song dreams of the great city of Chicago where John can forever and happily wander.

Of the record, he added: “In Heaven was created with so much love and my greatest hope is that it connect with people and provides a momentary space for reflection, joy, catharsis and whatever else someone might be looking for in their rich life. Music is magic and I feel like the luckiest person in the world that I’m allowed to share it.”
