Dreams really do come true.
After being bumped all around the release calendar due to the pandemic, Edgar Wright‘s (Shaun of the Dead, Baby Driver) new psychological horror movie Last Night in Soho is finally on the way soon, being released in theaters by Focus Features on October 29.
The brand new official trailer has arrived this morning, giving us a better picture of the film’s storyline than the previous trailers. Last Night in Soho takes us back to London’s Soho district during the Swinging Sixties, with Thomasin McKenzie starring as a fashion designer who uncovers a murder from the past. The victim? Anya Taylor-Joy‘s Sandie, a singer from the ’60s.
Here’s the latest official plot synopsis, along with the final trailer below. This looks like a very different vision from Edgar Wright, a ghost story with a slasher/Giallo twist to it…
In the film, “Eloise, an aspiring fashion designer, is mysteriously able to enter the 1960s where she encounters a dazzling wannabe singer, Sandie. But the glamour is not all it appears to be and the dreams of the past start to crack and splinter into something far darker.”
Wright wrote the script with Krysty Wilson-Cairns (“Penny Dreadful”).
