[Trailer] New Overview Trailer For ‘Metroid Dread’ Covers New Abilities, Weapons And Danger

Metroid fans will finally see the return of Samus next month when developer MercurySteam’s Metroid Dread arrives on the Switch. To keep the hype going, Nintendo has released a new overview trailer, which according to Nintendo, “provides a nice overview of the game—and the series in general—while also offering some exhilarating footage of the game in action.”

Highlights include the demonstration of Samus’ new slide move and Melee Counter move, as well as new weapons such as the Flash Shift and Storm Missile. The trailer also covers the “dread” part by focusing on the E.M.M.I. robots that will constantly pursue Samus, and aren’t exactly easy to put down.

Metroid Dread is due out for Switch on October 8, with pre-orders now available.
