Couple’s Shock After Snapping Pic of Three ‘UFOs’ over Lanarkshire Town Centre – Daily Record

A couple visiting Hamilton claim to have captured three UFOs on camera, hovering over Hamilton town centre this week.

Alan Watts and Elaine Richardson, of Haworth, West Yorkshire, had been staying at the Premier Inn Hotel on Townhead Street for four days whilst visiting family in Motherwell.

When Elaine spotted how lovely the weather was on Tuesday she decided to snap a quick pic of the skyline on her new camera phone.

But, later on when looking back through her photos, she noticed a dot in the far distance in one of her shots – something she hadn’t spotted at the time of taking the picture.

When her partner Alan encouraged her to zoom in on the photo, Elaine was gobsmacked to discover not one but three unidentified flying objects high in the sky above Hamilton.

Alan explained: “The photo was taken from the window of our hotel at the Premier Inn Hamilton looking over the town centre.

When Elaine zoomed in she discovered three ‘UFO’ looking objects in her photo

“It was a lovely day for December so Elaine simply took a photograph of the beautiful blue sky. When she looked back through her photos she saw what looked like a white dot, so she zoomed in to see what it could be as it had been such a bright clear blue sky.

“That’s when we discovered what looks like three UFOs. We don’t have any explanation for it at all.”

Last year, we reported how Lanarkshire is a hotspot for UFO sightings according to a group of researchers who recorded nine within 12 months.

One of these was in Hamilton, and the county had almost double the average extra-terrestrial sighting per population in the UK in 2020.

In Lanarkshire, there were 3.4 UFO sightings for every 250,000 people, compared to the UK average of 1.8 sightings per 250,000 and an average of 1.5 in Scotland.
