This is the opening of the trailer for What In The…? Podcast, a paranormal podcast program hosted by Kent Whittington, Adrianna Comito, and Tracy Lynn Hernendez. Their podcast combines the strange and bizarre with a twist of humor, covering all facets of the paranormal and supernatural.
With the help of his wife, Adrianna, Kent launched What In The…? Podcast on June 19, 2020, later picking up their co-hostess, Tracy, a few months later. Despite a worldwide pandemic, the three never stopped reporting on paranormal stories and happenings, as well as interviews with psychics and mediums, ghost hunters, cryptid experts, and UFO experiencers, including some very noteworthy individuals like a paranormal researcher and forensic scientist, Carol Malone of FPI Unsolved, Award-winning co-founder of EntitySeeker Research & Teachings, author, producer, and fire performer, Morgan Knudsen, and notable UFO contactee and author of Devil’s Den: The Reckoning, #1 Best Seller in genre and #1 Best Seller in New Releases on Amazon, Terry Lovelace, just to name a few.
Along with the paranormal, the supernatural, and strange tales, the trio’s personal banter on the show often “derails” into topics such as religion, social niceties, personal growth, and the issues of the day, all with a bit of humor. The only thing the crew avoids is the subject of politics, a difficult task, in the beginning, considering the show premiered during an election year!
Meet the hosts
Kent Whittington
With a voice that sounds like a cross between Bob Newhart and Kermit the Frog, Kent is the host and creator of What In The…? Podcast. He fell in love with the paranormal at the age of seven when his father passed away. A trip to his dad’s gravesite late one night led to an EVP session that resulted in what he calls, “some crazy and weird evidence of the paranormal; sounds of breathing, a heartbeat that increased in rhythm and volume with each beat as well as movement from someone who wasn’t there, not to mention that the 30-minute tape it was recorded on was stopped by an unseen entity after only ten minutes of recording.” From that point on, he was hooked!
Listening to radio personalities like Art Bell of Coast to Coast AM further fueled his interest in the paranormal and Kent always wished that he could do something similar. The advent of podcasting made that all possible.
Kent is also a part-time ghost hunter who, along with his brothers, formed Sacramento Valley Paranormal Society (SVPS), an organization dedicated to documenting and one day scientifically proving the existence of the spirit world.
When he has some free time, Kent is still creating. Along with encouraging the ladies to create their own podcasts, merging their shows together with his own into the What In The…? Podcast Network, he is a semi-professional sculptor, artist, and a published author of urban fantasy and horror. He is in demand as a ghostwriter for biographies of a personal and paranormal nature. He and Adrianna live in their own haunted townhome where the podcast is recorded, with disembodied voices being picked up on the show on two different occasions!
Adrianna Comito
Adrianna is the co-host of What In The…? Podcast and has been so since the show’s inception. Hers is the first voice heard during the podcast’s introduction, letting us all know that it’s time for the show to begin. She is no stranger to the paranormal, having grown up often catching sight of her deceased grandmother’s ghost, as well as shadow creatures in her current home.
Adrianna has shared her life with her husband and co-host, Kent, for twenty-three years. For a podcaster, Adrianna can be more contemplative than interactive. Whenever asked if she wants to ask a question or say something, her response is often, “I’m just listening.”
Don’t let that fool you. When she’s ready, Adrianna won’t hesitate to interject with a question or comment that moves the conversation into some interesting and often humorous territory. A favorite staple of the show has husband and wife sparring with one another where Kent will say something funny only to have Adrianna one-up him, often sending their co-host, Tracy, into fits of laughter, with Adrianna being heard to say, “You broke Tracy again!”
Adrianna also has her own regular spot on the program known as Adrea’s Shorts. During this part of the show, she’ll search her library of esoterica for a subject to thrill and entertain her listeners.
In her spare time, Adrianna is a crafter with a love of crochet. She loves reading and thrills in true crime as well as the paranormal. She has definitely caught the podcasting bug and hosts her own true crime show called Who In The…? Podcast with Kent and Tracy acting as her co-hosts.
Tracy Lynn Hernandez
Part three of the What In The …? Podcast group is Tracy Lynn Hernandez. She is mother to 2.5 adult children, Mo-om of multiple others, and Aunt and “Grantie” to quite a few more. She has had the paranormal around her since birth, beginning in her childhood home with a Blue Lady that would sit with her in the family room, and later in her “home away from home,” a building constructed in the 1800s that is now a popular costume, gift, and gags store. The store has a rich history of haunting, containing a multitude of spirits that Tracy talks to every morning while working.
Tracy is the team’s researcher, often “falling down rabbit holes,” as she calls it, digging into the history and mythos of each investigation. More than a researcher though, her laughter and her derailments are a staple of the program.
When she isn’t nannying, crocheting, or playing taxi service for her herd of pygmies, young adults, she is the co-hostess of Who In The…? Podcast as well and has taken on the mantle of hostess on Why In The …? Podcast, a program delving into the realms of self-help, self-love and self-awareness. Tracy’s motto? “Be Happy, Be Healthy, Be Safe and Be Smart.”
