Volunteering with Morris County Pride planning committee. Gender Equality NY panelist. Currently on the Vernon Township Democratic Committee. Presently working on her memoir to be published late 2023. Was involved with HBO’s We’re Here series in bringing it to Sussex County NJ. ( Season 3 Episode 4 )

 

If Ashley Craig looks familiar, you’ll know her face from a starring role in HBO’s new LGBTQ reality show “We’re Here”. Ashley is a soon to be 27 year old, gay woman, from Sussex County, New Jersey. Ashley attended High Point Regional High School, where she founded a non-profit organization in 2010 by the name of S.A.B.B. – Students Against Being Bullied, which was a multi-phase organization geared towards fighting harassment, intimidation, and bullying as well as providing strong suicide prevention resources to school communities around the Tri-State area. After high school, Ashley worked for DASI – Domestic Abuse and Sexual Assault Intervention Services in Newton as an emergency shelter intake and emergency hotline worker while she pursued her Associate’s Degree in Psychology.  In 2016, Ashley started her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Thomas Edison State University after she graduated from Sussex County Community College. In 2017, Ashley took a six-month hiatus from DASI and TESU to attend the Morris County Law and Public Safety Academy in order to work to become a certified police officer in the State of New Jersey. Ashley has been an active law enforcement officer for 6 years working in the areas of behavioral threat assessment and management and school violence prevention. Ashley also serves as her agency’s LGBTQ Community Outreach Officer, often creating and hosting community events to build trust between law enforcement and the greater community. Ashley finished her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology in the Fall of 2019 and decided to pursue a Master’s Degree in Homeland Security and Global Terrorism Studies from Fairleigh Dickinson University in the Fall of 2021 and has since graduated with that degree. In her spare time, Ashley enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Bayou and Luna, exercising, hiking, and engaging in positive community activism.
