Amazon Studios Orders ‘Cruel Intentions’ Adaption Series

Amazon has officially been granted an 8-episode series order of ‘Cruel Intentions’, based on Roger Kumble’s 1999 cult classic movie of the same name. The TV adaptation will be written and created by Phoebe Fisher and Sara Goodman.

“Set in Washington, D.C., the Cruel Intentions series follows two ruthless step-siblings who will do anything to stay at the top of the Greek Life hierarchy at their elite college,” reads the synopsis. “When a brutal hazing incident threatens the entire Panhellenic system, they’ll do whatever is necessary to preserve their power and reputations… including seducing the daughter of the U.S. vice president.”

The project is being executive produced by original movie producer Neal H. Moritz.
