[Gamescom] ‘Hellboy: Web of Wyrd’ Punches an October 6 Release [Video]

Good Shepherd Entertainment and developer Upstream Arcade have decided to give fans even more choice this Halloween with the announcement that Hellboy: Web of Wyrd will be arriving home on October 4. And courtesy of IGN, we also have a few gameplay preview videos.

Featuring the late Lance Reddick as the voice of Hellboy, Web of Wyrd is an original story created in collaboration with Dark Horse Comics and Hellboy creator Mike Mignola. The game sees Hellboy “on a series of vastly different and wholly unique adventures” that are all tied to the mysterious Butterfly House.

Built in 1962 by occultist Pasquale Deneveaux, The Butterfly House is actually a gateway into a terrible and fascinating dimension called The Wyrd. A B.P.R.D. agent sent on a reconnaissance mission to the mansion and promptly goes missing. It’s up to you as Hellboy, along with your team of Bureau agents, to find your missing colleague and uncover the secrets of The Butterfly House.

During the investigation, you will explore wondrous and strange planes of existence contained within The Wyrd, each one home to powerful monsters, forgotten godforms, magnificent treasures, and powerful secrets. But be warned, because ancient evil stagnates within the furthest reaches of The Wyrd… evil that is eager to be let out.

Hellboy: Web of Wyrd will see release on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
