Vito Schnabel Gallery to Present ‘Under the Skin’ by Trey Abdella

Trey Abdella will debut with the Vito Schnabel Gallery in New York City on the 9th of November, opening his latest exhibition Under the Skin.

In Under the Skin, Abdella explores American culture through an anatomical lens by examining anxieties buried beneath the skin. With his narratives filled with psychological presence, he weaves feelings of sweetness and seduction of nostalgia into his narratives with dark, disruptive impulses that charge them with psychological presence by exploring the skin and layers of the earth as membranes, boundaries, or mediums of passage between physical and psychological realms.

The exhibition will run from the 9th of November, 2023, until the 13th of January, 2024.
