Reaching for the Stars Steven Ham

Steven Ham is from Ripley, Illinois and has been interested in Voice Over for many years. As a child he loved to make people laugh with his impressions and silly voices. Later, he joined the Army and touring overseas he would entertain people from different cultures with his voices.

Steven Ham was born in Rushville, Illinois. He is a talented voice over artist, who is able to do hundreds of impersonations, quite believably! He discovered his talent as a child. His abilities as a voice over artist are infinite, some of his favorites are the Marvel characters, particularly Batman. He is a “big dreamer from a small town,” having grown up in a town which consisted of only 100 people. Steven was not hindered in any way by being raised in a place with such a small population, he states, that “it was just enough to instill a notion of desire and drive.

As Steven stated in a recent interview, “my father and mother taught us important values early in life that we all put to good use as we grew up and definitely as we become older.”

After high school, Steven enlisted in the Army, and completed his Basic Training at Fort Knox, and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Gordon, GA. Steven was stationed in Kaiserslautern, Germany in 2000, Fort Hood from 2002-2005. He also served in both Kuwait and Baghdad, Iraq in 2004. Steven received many awards during his time in the Army, to include the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Ribbon Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (2x) and more than several others.

Steven first completed his Associates Degree in Science at John Wood Community College in Quincy, Illinois in 2008, and then attended both Western Illinois University and Northcentral University to complete his Bachelor’s in Psychology in 2015, stating, “I do know that my parents pushing me had a lot to do with my success in many ways, I will always be immensely thankful and appreciative of their support and unwavering love.”
