Morgan Wallen Posts, Then Deletes, Snippet of New Song ‘I Had Some Help’

The song appears to be a collab with Post Malone, Ernest, and Wallen’s frequent co-writer Charlie Handsome

Ever since his CMA Awards performance with Morgan Wallen and Hardy, Post Malone has seemingly been bopping around Nashville. He was spotted at Duke’s bar in East Nashville earlier this month and is reportedly holed up somewhere in town working on his long-anticipated country project. He also collaborated with Wallen in the studio during CMAs week, at least according to a photo that Nashville songwriter Ernest posted of himself with Posty and Wallen.

Early Friday morning, Wallen dropped a snippet of what seems to be that collab. Wallen captioned the post “I had some help,” tagging Post Malone, Ernest, and his frequent co-writer Charlie Handsome. The chorus is built around those words, with Wallen drawling “I had some help” before gang vocals shout “help!” behind him. Even if this is just a demo, “I Had Some Help” is undeniably catchy and portends another monster crossover for the Sneedville, Tennessee, native.

But as quickly as it appeared, “I Had Some Help” was gone, removed from Wallen’s Instagram. (A fan captured it, however, and posted it on YouTube.)

Wallen already dominated 2023, especially in streaming, where his multi-week Number One “Last Night” was the most streamed song in the country on Spotify and AppleMusic. “Last Night” appeared on Wallen’s One Thing at a Time album — the most streamed album on Spotify for the year.

Earlier this week, Wallen turned up in a surprise cameo in Drake’s music video for “You Broke My Heart.” The two appear together in a fancy restaurant, dissecting busted relationships, before they leave together in their car — which is ultimately blown up by two vengeful exes.

Wallen also appears with Hardy and Post Malone on Hardy’s latest mixtape, a loose tribute to Nineties country kingpin Joe Diffie.
