One of the most talked about films in 2023, Barbie follows the character of Barbie and many other Barbies. “The main” Barbie (Margot Robbie) and Ken (Ryan Gosling) seem to live perfect, vibrant, and seemingly faultless lives, just as they get a chance to leave Barbie Land for the real world, discovering the struggles and injustices that happen to humans.
In the real world, Ken finds patriarchy and other toxic beliefs to bring back to Barbie Land in hopes of changing Barbie Land forever. At the same time, Barbie struggles to push through in the male-dominated world and must return to Barbie Land to find the newly implemented broken system. With the help of Gloria (America Ferrera), Barbie finds it in herself to put things in order.
