General Mills Officially Announces This Year’s Monster Cereals – with Monster Pets!

Thanksgiving Steelbook 4K from Sony

Eli Roth’s Thanksgiving carves into Steelbook 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital on October 15 via Sony. The slasher is presented in 4K with Dolby Vision, approved by director Eli Roth, and Dolby Atmos.

Jeff Rendell penned the script, based on the faux-trailer from 2007’s Grindhouse. Patrick Dempsey, Addison Rae, Milo Manheim, Jalen Thomas Brooks, Nell Verlaque, Rick Hoffman, and Gina Gershon star.

Special features include: two new making-of featurettes; commentary by Roth and Rendell; deleted and extended scenes; outtakes; Behind the Screams; Gore Galore; and Massachusetts Movies: Eli & Jeff’s Early Films; a letter to the fans from Roth.


The Thing Pop from Funko

As if the inclusion of The Thing’s R.J. MacReady in the first installment of Funko Fusion Pops wasn’t enough, the second wave includes the film’s grotesque Blair Monster!

Due out in October, the 6.75” deluxe vinyl figure costs $29.99 and come with a redeemable code for an in-game item. A chase variant is also available.

Developed by 10:10 Games, Funko Fusion features 60+ playable characters from more than 20 fan-favorite franchises recreated in Funko Pop form. It’s coming to PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on September 13.


The Exorcist Poster by Liza Shumska

Hero Complex Gallery has released the remaining inventory of its Comic Con-exclusive prints online, including Liza Shumska’s hauntingly detailed take on the The Exorcist.

Fine art giclee prints, limited to 135, are available in 16×24 for $50 and 24×36 for $75.


Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire Vinyl from Waxwork Records

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire’s soundtrack is available on vinyl for $50 via Waxwork Records. Shipping in November, the score is composed by Dario Marianelli (V for Vendetta, Bumblebee).

The 2xLP album is pressed on two color variants: Slimer and Frozen Empire. It’s housed in a gatefold jacket with matte satin coating featuring art by JJ Harrison and a four-page booklet with liner notes from director Gil Kenan.


Body Double Steelbook 4K UHD from Sony

Body Double is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a Steelbook 4K Ultra HD + Blu-ray + Digital release on September 24 from Sony. The 1984 neo-noir erotic thriller is presented in 4K with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos.

Brian De Palma (Scarface, Carrie) directs from a script he co-wrote with Robert J. Avrech (A Stranger Among Us). Craig Wasson, Gregg Henry, Melanie Griffith, and Deborah Shelton star.

Special features include: archival EPK interviews with De Palma, Wasson and Griffith; The Seduction, The Setup, The Mystery, and The Controversy featurettes; Frankie Goes to Hollywood’s “Relax” (Body Double version) music video; still gallery; and trailer.
