Oasis Confirm Reunion With 2025 UK and Ireland Tour Announced

After a 15-year feud, Liam and Noel Gallagher seem to have set aside their differences. In a highly anticipated announcement that was teased over the weekend, Oasis have officially revealed the details of their first tour in 16 years. They’re set to play 14 shows in the summer of 2025, including stops in Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh, and Dublin. Tickets go on sale at 9am local time on Saturday, August 31. Find the list of dates below.

A press release notes that “plans are underway for Oasis Live ’25 to go to other continents outside of Europe later next year,” though these are their only European shows scheduled for next year.

“The guns have fallen silent,” the Gallagher brothers said in a joint statement on behalf of Oasis. “The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised.”

“There has been no great revelatory moment that has ignited the reunion – just the gradual realization that the time is right,” the press release stated. “Yet the timing must be a subconscious influence. This Thursday represents 30 years to the day since their electrifying debut album Definitely Maybe was released, while 2025 will see the equally essential second record (What’s the Story) Morning Glory? reach that same anniversary.”

On August 24, The Sunday Times reported that Oasis were in the process of getting the band back together, citing “industry insiders.” Liam Gallagher, of course, began dispelling the rumours, replying to fans on X with statements like “News to me” and “I know nothing.” But he also then wrote, “I never did like that word FORMER,” and, responding to a fan calling Manchester’s Heaton Park “a terrible venue,” said, “See you down the front you big fanny.”

Oasis last performed together in 2009, when Noel quit the band just before their set at the Rock en Seine festival in Paris. “It is with some sadness and great relief… I quit Oasis tonight,” Noel Gallagher wrote in a statement on the band’s website. “People will write and say what they like, but I simply could not go on working with Liam a day longer.”

Liam went on to form Beady Eye with fellow Oasis members Gem Archer, Andy Bell, and Chris Sharrock, and released three solo albums since that band disbanded in 2014; earlier this year, he put out a collaborative LP with John Squire of the Stone Roses. Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds have dropped four albums since 2011, most recently last year’s Council Skies.

Since their split, the Gallagher brothers have not shied away from taking shots at each other in the press, but in a recent interview, Noel was complimentary of Liam’s vocal skills: “When I would sing a song, it would sound good. When he sung it, it sounded great,” he said. “I can’t sing ‘Cigarettes & Alcohol’, ‘Rock’n’Roll Star’ and all that. I don’t have the same attitude as him. My voice is half a Guinness on a Tuesday — it’s all right. Liam’s is ten shots of tequila on a Friday.”
