Rachel Sennott Comedy Gets Series Order at HBO

HBO has granted a series order for an untitled Rachel Sennott comedy, which initially received a pilot order last March. In addition to leading the series Sennott will also serve as the show’s creator, writer, and executive producer.

“Rachel is as hilarious as she is charming. With Lorene and Emma, she has captured the comedy and the beauty that happens when friendships collide with our best laid plans,” HBO and Max Comedy Programming’s executive vice president Amy Gravitt said in a statement via a press release. “We’re thrilled to be continuing our collaboration with this talented team and this exquisite cast.”

The series will also star Odessa A’zion, Jordan Firstman, Miles Robbins, and True Whitaker, with Leighton Meester and Quenlin Blackwell.

“A codependent friend group reunites, navigating how the time apart, ambition, and new relationships have changed them,” reads the show’s official logline.
