MUBI Sets Winter 2025 Wide Release For ‘Bring Them Down’

The MUBI production, Bring Them Down, starring Oscar nominee Barry Keoghan and Christopher Abbott, is hitting theaters on Feb. 7, 2025.

Pic directed by Christopher Andrews, who is making his feature directing debut, follows Michael (Abbott) who is the last son of a farming family, and lives an isolated existence with his ailing, cantankerous father Ray. Burdened by a terrible secret from his past, Michael has isolated himself from the world and dedicates himself to his prized flock. When the ongoing conflict with rival farmer Gary and his wayward and unpredictable son Jack (Barry Keoghan) stirs old tensions and grievances, it triggers a chain of events that take increasingly violent and devastating turns, leaving both families permanently altered.

The movie also stars Colm Meaney (The Problem with People, Layer Cake), Nora-Jane Noone (The Magdalene SistersBrooklyn) Paul Ready (A Gentleman in MoscowMotherland) and Susan Lynch (Enduring LoveWaking Ned Davine).

Bring Them Down has been nominated for the Douglas Hickox Award (Best Debut Director, Christopher Andrews) and Breakthrough Producer (Jacob Swan Hyam) at this year’s British Independent Film Awards. The film received its world premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival and was also selected for BFI London Film Festival 2024.

As we first told you, MUBI’s recent wide theatrical release, the Demi Moore genre movie, The Substance, is clicking past the $70M+ mark at the global box office.

Also opening on Feb. 7 is Universal’s Ke Huy Quan and Ariana DeBose action movie, Love Hurts, and Sony Pictures/Spyglass genre movie, Heart Eyes.
