Developer Rebel Wolves to Reveal ‘The Blood of Dawnwalker’ Next Month [Teaser]

Publisher/developer Serafini Productions continues their work on their still-in-development BrokenLore series of games, and has released a new trailer each for two of them in DON’T WATCH and FOLLOW.

In BrokenLore: DON’T WATCH (which has a demo available on its Steam page), players assume the role of Shinji, who is a young hikikomori, a Japanese term for individuals with a form of severe social withdrawal. In this case, Shiji is trapped inside his small Tokyo apartment. With unpaid rent, mounting bills, and a family that doesn’t understand him, he feels isolated from the world—and from himself. His only escape is video games, and his only window to the outside world is his PC. But even those have their limits.

You’ll explore Shinji’s mind as it unravels, which from the trailer, features plenty of eyes in some peculiar places. They’re the least of Shinji’s worries, however. Hyakume, a malevolent entity owner of those eyes, lies waiting for the right moment to strike.

Also released is a new trailer for FOLLOW, which was announced earlier this year. FOLLOW (which also has a demo available) tells the origin story of UNFOLLOW protagonist Anne, specifically delving into the challenging relationship between a mother and daughter. Much like UNFOLLOW, FOLLOW tackles some heavy themes, focusing on bullying and the protagonist’s struggles with eating disorders. Serafini has enlisted the help of Italian psychologist Emanuela Papa to ensure the themes in the game are “handled with precision.”

Release dates for all of the BrokenLore games haven’t been announced as of yet.
