Scowl Announce New Album, Share New Single ‘Not Hell Not Heaven’

Scowl have announced Are We All Angels, their sophomore album and debut LP for Dead Oceans. It’s set to arrive on April 4. The record was produced by Will Yip, who worked on the band’s 2023’s Psychic Dance Routine EP, and mixed by Rich Costey. Today’s announcement comes with the release of the blazing new single ‘Not Hell, Not Heaven’, which follows the previously unveiled ‘Special’. Check it out and find the album cover and tracklist below.

‘Not Hell, Not Heaven’ is accompanied by a Sean Stout-dirtected video filmed at 924 Gilman Street. “It’s about feeling victimized and being a victim, but not wanting to identify with being a victim,” frontwoman Kat Moss said of the track in a statement. “It’s trying to find grace in the fact that I have my power. I live in my reality. You have to deal with whatever you’re dealing with, and it ain’t working for me.”
