American-Canadian metal trio SUMAC and Philadelphia-based poet and composer Moor Mother have announced a new collaborative LP. The Film lands on April 25 on Thrill Jockey, and the opening track, the industrial, claustrophobic ‘Scene 1’, is out now. Check it out below, and scroll down for the album cover and trackliist.
The Film was recorded at Studio Litho with engineer/mixer Scott Evans. SUMAC released their most recent album, The Healer, in 2024. Moor Mother’s latest LP, The Great Bailout, also came out last year.
