Trailer: The New ‘Smurf’ Movie Starring Rihanna as Smurfette

The first trailer for the new Smurfs movie has arrived courtesy of Paramount Pictures. Smurfs is a new animated musical movie that will see Rihanna voice Smurfette. It hails from director Chris Miller and co-director Matt Landon, and is due to hit theatres July.

“When Papa Smurf (John Goodman) is mysteriously taken by evil wizards, Razamel and Gargamel, Smurfette (Rihanna) leads the Smurfs on a mission into the real world to save him. With the help of new friends, the Smurfs must discover what defines their destiny to save the universe,” says the synopsis.
