Viral Horror Video ‘Take This Lollipop’ Getting a Sequel in October

In our modern, technology fueled world, we are all vulnerable.

Directed by Jason Zada (The Forest) and starring Bill Oberst Jr., Facebook experience Take This Lollipop became a viral sensation back in 2011, even winning an Emmy award the following year, and almost ten years later we’ve learned that a follow-up is on the way.

The original 2011 short cleverly used the Facebook Connect application to make Facebook users active participants in the story, which saw a creepy stalker tracking *you* down.

Zada tells us, “In October 2020, we will launch a sequel to the one of the most viral pieces of entertainment of all time, Take This Lollipop. During the last six months, technology has been the catalyst that has transformed the way we work, socialize and communicate.”

“Just like the original Take This Lollipop did in 2011, we are going to combine entertainment with seamless technology to frighten a global audience,” he promises.

The experience will be going live mid-October, and you’ll find the teaser below…
