Actress Janina Gavankar (“Sleepy Hollow,” The Way Back) both co-wrote and is set to star in an untitled female-driven monster movie for 108 Media, Deadline reports today.
The film is based on the ancient Hindu myth of the Rakshasa.
Deadline notes, “The myth of Rakshasa is a bloodthirsty demon that makes mankind its prey, after being banished from the realm of the gods and forced to live among men.”
Gavankar co-wrote the script with Russo Schelling.
