‘Warm Bodies’ Star Teresa Palmer Mourns the Death of ‘The Twin’, Acquired by Shudder

Shudder has already made an acquisition out of the ongoing EFM with ScreenDaily reporting that the streaming service scored US, Canada, UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand for The Twin, which is being sold by Film Constellation.

“The film centers on a family trying to rebuild their lives in the Scandinavian countryside, who soon realize that some secrets are so evil, they need to be buried twice.”

Australian actor Teresa Palmer (pictured in Warm Bodies) will star as a young mother plagued by the violent death of one of her twins.

Finnish director Taneli Mustonen makes his English-language debut on the film, which will begin shooting on March 18. It was written by Mustonen and Aleksi Hyvärinen, with Hyvärinen producing through Don Films.

“[The Twin is] genuinely deeply scary,” said Hyvärinen. “It is also a harrowing and relatable tale of loss, which puts the viewer on the edge of their seat right from start to end.”

Joris van Wijk is executive producer along with Shudder’s Emily Gotto, Film Constellation’s Fabien Westerhoff and Post Control Helsinki’s Toni Valla.

Shudder will release the film on its platform later this year.
