Disney’s Searchlight acquired The Night House (our review) out of Sundance last year, and they’ll be bringing director David Bruckner‘s new horror movie to theaters on July 16, 2021.

The trailer has arrived today, taking you into the titular Night House for a waking nightmare that begins with death, leading a widow to uncover the terrifying secrets within her home.

Learn more and find the terrifying trailer below.

“The film follows a widow (Rebecca Hall) who begins to uncover her recently deceased husband’s disturbing secrets.”

Sarah Goldberg, Evan Jonigkeit, Stacy Martin and Vondie Curtis Hall also star.

Ben Collins & Luke Piotrowski (Super Dark Times) wrote the script.

Previously, David Bruckner has directed The Signal, the “Amateur Night” segment in our V/H/S, the segment “The Accident” in our Southbound, and monster movie The Ritual. Bruckner is also working on our upcoming V/H/S/94, which is coming soon.

Meagan wrote in her review of The Night House that we ran out of Sundance 2020, “The Night House is a standout film… It’s moody and atmospheric, but above all, it’s scary as hell.”
