Helena Deland and French producer/multi-instrumentalist Ouri have revealed the details of their debut Hildegard album. The self-titled LP arrives on June 4 via section 1. It includes the previously released single ‘Jour 2’ as well as the newly unveiled ‘Jour 1’, which comes with an accompanying video. In a statement, the duo described ‘Jour 1’ as being “about processing by partying, and the clarity that sometimes comes with it.” Drawing inspiration from Hildegard of Bingen, a 12th century nun and writer who became a symbol of nurturing strength, the duo recorded the album over eight days in 2018. Each of the record’s eight tracks is named for a day they spent in the studio together.
