[E3 2021] Toned-Down Lovecraftian Title ‘Lust from Beyond: M Edition’ Announced For Consoles, PC

Publisher Retrovibe and developer Buckshot Software scored a hit with 90s throwback shooter Project Warlock back in 2018, and now they’ve unveiled the sequel in Project Warlock II at the PC Gaming Show. The sequel is currently set for Early Access on Steam on July 29, with a Kickstarter planned for late June to help fund two more episodes.

All three episodes will feature approximately six levels each, with a different protagonist for each episode. The game will also feature a revamped magic system that doesn’t penalize players for choosing between weapon upgrades or new spells. Instead, magic will no longer draw from the mana pool used for weapons, and spells will instead use cooldowns.

The game will also feature an expanded roster of weapons, which can be upgraded in branching paths that add new functionality. Lastly, the game will also branch out vertically, having players engaging in “multi-story complex mazes” instead of the linearity of the original game.

While Project Warlock II has yet to land a Steam page of its own, you can keep up with its developments via the original game’s Steam page.
