NECA is working on a new line of Universal Monsters action figures based on the original classics, with Frankenstein’s monster, The Wolfman, The Mummy, and Dracula confirmed.
Not only are they each getting full-color and classic black & white versions, but also accessory sets!
The first major reveal comes out of the virtual Toy Fair with AFi sharing first details and photos of The Mummy accessory set, which comes with an elaborately detailed sarcophagus, which measures over 9” inches tall and has a removable lid with movie-accurate deco and intricate printed pattern.
The site also notes that the set also includes a movie-accurate, opening chest that measures 2.5”x 3” and can house the Egyptian chest accessory that comes with the NECA Ultimate Mummy 7” scale figure.
In this Universal Monsters classic, Boris Karloff shines as the ancient Mummy in a tale of love transcending death. The sculpt captures the intricate special effects makeup that required eight hours to apply and two hours to remove.
Standing in 7” scale, the actual figure comes in premium packaging with interchangeable heads, interchangeable hands, and Egyptian chest that opens.
The Mummy is expected to shamble onto store shelves in June 2022.
