‘The Patient’ is an upcoming psychological thriller miniseries starring Steve Carell and Domhnall Gleeson. In the trailer we see a therapist who gets held captive by one of his patients who turns out to be a serial killer. The limited series will debut August 30, exclusively on Hulu.
“The series follows Alan Strauss, a therapist who is held prisoner by patient Sam Fortner who reveals himself to be a serial killer,” reads the synopsis. “With time running out, Alan fights desperately to stop Sam before Alan becomes complicit in Sam’s murders or worse – becomes a target himself.”
