Teaser: From Creators Sam Levison and The Weeknd Comes ‘The Idol’

HBO has given us another look at the upcoming series ‘The Idol’, Sam Levinson and The Weeknd’s new drama, which will be making its debut in 2023. The trailer shows Lily-Rose Depp as a popstar desperate to get another hit song.

“Set against the backdrop of the music industry, the series centers on a self-help guru and leader of a modern-day cult, who develops a complicated relationship with an up-and-coming pop idol,” reads the official synopsis.

The limited drama also stars Troye Sivan, Hari Nef, Debby Ryan, Steve Zissis, Rachel Sennott, and K-Pop superstar Jennie Kim of Blackpink.
