Hot off the playlists is just released “Get It Back” by dynamic duo Many Miles Away. This hard driving, energetic rock song is their second single off their soon to be released self-titled debut album. Many Miles Away is a powerful collaboration of two unique talents of Michael Shapiro and Miles Schon.
Michael Shapiro is the brainchild behind the Vegas project “Reckless in Vegas”, with a residency at the Sahara hotel. The band shadows, the once known as Sin City of the 1960s with a live high energy performance of modern versions of songs by artists, including Dean Martin, Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Neil Diamond and others. Michael has also toured with iconic bands, including Great White, Cheap Trick and the Romantics. He is also played with the likes of Bruce Springsteen.
Miles Schon is recognized for his soulful, guitar, playing, and fiery riffs. Raised in the San Francisco Bay area he was surrounded by a musical family, including his dad, Neil Schon from Journey. Miles has performed with artist, including Jonathan, keen, Ross Valery from Journey, Scott Page from Pink Floyd, Omar Hakim from Sting, Stephen Perkins Janes Addiction, Grammy winner, Will Champlin, and many others.
Their new single is fast paced, and ready to go. Shapiro carries the vocals with strength and ability while Schon’s guitar work stands beyond. The song was written and arranged by quiet third member of Many Miles Away Tom Fletcher, as well as Michael Shapiro, Miles Schon, Jack, Roth, and Trey Ordaz and released on Mama Cow Records. It can be streamed on all digital outlets.
