Ti West completes his X trilogy with the upcoming MaXXXine, a sequel to last year’s horror movies X and Pearl that will bring Mia Goth’s title character into the 1980s.
A24 has revealed that filming on MaXXXine is now underway!

MaXXXine‘s cast includes Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon.
“MaXXXine reverses the franchise’s trajectory through time to pick up with Maxine after the violent events of X, as the sole survivor continues her journey towards fame, setting out to make it as an actress in 1980s Los Angeles.”
“It’s the best script of the three by far. It’s going be the best movie of the three,” Goth recently told Variety.
Goth continued, “It’s the biggest story of the three with the highest stakes and Maxine has gone through so much at this point. So when we find her in this new world, she’s just a force to be reckoned with and she goes through some pretty wild adventures.”
