‘Diablo IV’ Goes Gold, Will Launch on June 6 as Scheduled

With the tweaks made after the recent Open Beta tests, Blizzard has announced that Diablo IV has gone gold, meaning that development has completed, and the game is ready for mass production. The game will launch as scheduled on June 6 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Battle.net.

“Going gold is a landmark milestone for the incredible Diablo IV team, who have all worked so hard crafting the next-generation installment of this iconic franchise. This is a concrete, meaningful step toward our June 6 launch” says Rod Fergusson, general manager of the Diablo franchise. “Whether players are veterans of the franchise or jumping in for the first time, we can’t wait for everyone to experience the full game: taking part in the incredible storytelling, experimenting with character classes and builds, and exploring what the endgame and the dark world of Sanctuary has to offer.”

Remember that if you want to get your hands on the game earlier than June 6, you can pre-purchase the game for four days Early Access.

Diablo IV involves the demon Lilith and the angel Inarius, who united to create the world of Sanctuary in their desire to escape the Eternal Conflict between Heaven and Hell. But now, decades after the events of Diablo III: Reaper of Souls, they are bitter enemies who have resorted to war against each other with their respective followers. The lands of Sanctuary have become plagued with ceaseless demons, and only the most steadfast of heroes will be able to hold in the face of darkness.
