The return of the Layers of Fear series in, well, Layers of Fear, is out today for the Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. Described as “the definitive way to experience the critically-acclaimed franchise”, this new entry from Bloober Team features the original Layers of Fear, Layers of Fear 2, and all DLCs, including a brand-new chapter exploring the story of The Writer, whose tale ties together the overarching narrative of the series. Accompanying the launch is the customary launch trailer.
Layers of Fear is available in two editions: the Standard Edition containing the base game, and the Deluxe Edition, which includes a digital artbook and soundtrack by Arek Reikowski (who scored Bloober Team’s Blair Witch, among others).
And to show their appreciation for fans returning to the series, Bloober team is offering a limited-time discount of 30% for both the Standard and Deluxe Editions of Layers of Fear (2023) for those who previously purchased the original Layers of Fear, first released in 2016, and/or Layers of Fear 2, which launched in 2019. The offer is good until June 29th. Additionally, Bloober Team and co-developer Anshar Studios are offering a 15% launch discount for new players across PC and consoles, which will run for one week.
