Plantoid Share Video for New Single ‘Modulator’

Plantoid have shared a new single, ‘Modulator’. It’s lifted from the Brighton band’s debut album, Terrapath, which is out February 2 via Bella Union and includes previous outings ‘Dog’s Life’ and ‘Pressure’. Check out its music video below.

In a press release, guitarist Tom Coyne described ‘Modulator’ as “an exploration into something more groove-oriented, an infectious rhythm section cradled by warm chords and silky vocals, juxtaposed with a mixture of arranged and improvised instrumentals. The calm, the storm, the peaceful ending. The track explores themes of honesty to oneself.”

Singer Chloe Spence added: “The video created by Cali Titmas was made using a blend of home videos and found footage in an attempt to curate a nostalgic aesthetic that would match the energy of the song and connect the viewer to thoughts of dreams and nature. The visual narrative accompanies the music by suggesting a journey starting from the bottom of the ocean all the way through mountains and eventually reaching space. Cali manages to capture Modulator’s playful energy whilst depicting the feeling of one’s inferiority to nature.”
