“The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” Celebrates Valentine’s Day With Romantic New Trailer

“The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” brings Rick and Michonne back to AMC later this month, and AMC celebrates Valentine’s Day with a brand new trailer for the event series.

“Valentine’s Day is just about the last holiday you would associate with ‘The Walking Dead,’ but the truth is that love has been at the heart of this franchise from the very beginning,” Kim Granito, chief marketing officer for AMC Networks, said in a statement this morning.

“We were excited by the juxtaposition of the most romantic day of the year and the zombie apocalypse as a way to celebrate Rick and Michonne’s long-awaited reunion. We’re dropping a surprise trailer set to the voice of Phoebe Bridgers, social Valentine’s Day cards, exclusive merch in our TWD Shop, and to cap it all off we’re setting Sphere in Las Vegas on fire.”

The upcoming spinoff series brings back both Andrew Lincoln (Rick Grimes) and Danai Gurira (Michonne) for an epic new horror adventure. Don’t miss the series premiere of “The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” February 25, 2024 on AMC and AMC+.

“It’s a really exciting story to tell,” Danai Gurira recently said of the series. Andrew Lincoln teased, “Our ambition is to have some answers.” Gurira also noted of the relationship between the two iconic characters from the main “Walking Dead” series, “This is some crazy love.”

The series presents an epic love story of two characters changed by a changed world. Kept apart by distance. By an unstoppable power. By the ghosts of who they were.

Rick and Michonne are thrown into another world, built on a war against the dead… And ultimately, a war against the living. Can they find each other and who they were in a place and situation unlike any they’ve ever known before? Are they enemies? Lovers? Without each other, are they even alive — or will they find that they, too, are the Walking Dead?

Scott M. Gimple, Chief Content Officer of The Walking Dead Universe, serves as showrunner and executive producer alongside Lincoln, Gurira, Denise Huth and Brian Bockrath.

Speaking of “Walking Dead” spinoff shows, second seasons of both “Dead City” and “Daryl Dixon” are on the way, and the latter show’s second season is subtitled “The Book of Carol.”
