See Orville Peck and Noah Cyrus Perform Their Ballad ‘How Far Will We Take It?’ on ‘Kimmel’

Masked country star’s guest-filled Stampede arrives August 2

Ahead of the release of Orville Peck’s all-star Stampede next week, the masked country star performed the track “How Far Will We Take It?” alongside guest Noah Cyrus on Wednesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live.

The duo’s ballad originally debuted this May on Peck’s Stampede Vol. 1, an EP that previewed seven tracks from the singer’s upcoming 15-song Stampede, out August 2.

While Peck has largely performed “How Far Will We Take It?” solo over the course of his 2024 summer tour, he and Cyrus have had some practice playing the track as a duet, as she’s appeared onstage with Peck recently at the Calgary Stampede and Winnipeg Folk Festival.

Stampede also boasts the previously released singles “Death Valley High” with Beck, “Midnight Ride” with Kylie Minogue, and a cover of “Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond of Each Other” with Willie Nelson.

“With all the rhetoric surrounding the LGBTQIA+ community these days, it is so encouraging to have real allies like Willie that aren’t afraid to stand proudly next to us,” Peck told Rolling Stone after dropping “Cowboys Are Frequently, Secretly Fond Of Each Other.”

The album also features guest appearances by Margo Price, Mickey Guyton, Allison Russell, Midland, Teddy Swims, Nathaniel Rateliff, Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway, and Elton John, who revisits his own “Saturday Night’s Alright (for Fighting)” along Peck. The album closes out with a rendition of “Rhinestone Cowboy” along with TJ Osbourne, Waylon Payne, and Fancy Hagood.
