Mario Unveils A New Era Of Music and New Single ‘Space’

GRAMMY-nominated R&B legend Mario’s officially unleashes his brand new single, “Space,”

“Space” is produced by James Fauntleroy, with whom Mario has been working a new project with for well over a year. “James and I have a similar philosophy when it comes to the love of timeless music,” Mario says about his working relationship with the 4x GRAMMY-winning songwriter and producer. “The omnipresence of all of the things that lends itself to the writing process. Our stories, our lives, what we observe and absorb.”

“Space,” which Mario posits is partially inspired by the work of Marvin Gaye and Michael Jackson, finds Mario reprising the role that made him one of his generations most game-changing R&B artists: the awe-inspiring voice behind some of the genre’s most intimate, emotive R&B ballads. With a measured tempo adorned by horns and a hint of funk, Mario delivers a robust vocal performance, as he invites love ‘into his space.’

The release of the new single also comes directly following Mario was a surprise guest on Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday Two Tour, in Los Angeles, a tease of sorts of what’s to come.  During his appearance, he performed his classic #1 hit, “Let Me Love You.” The two previously collaborated on “Somebody Else,” which peaked within Billboard’s R&B/Hip Hop Top 40.

Expect to see more performances from Mario’s as he makes his official return to the road to join Mary J. Blige and Ne-Yo on the For My Fans Tour. The trek will join three of the most successful R&B artists of their respective eras for a compelling musical ride set to begin in January 2025.

Step into Mario’s new era with his latest single, “Space.” Out now.
