Horror Decor Discontinuing the “Horror Buddies” Line; Now’s Your Last Chance to Grab Them!

One of the things I’m most proud of doing here in the horror world is co-creating the “Horror Buddies” with Horror Decor, inspired by the WWF “Wrestling Buddies” of my youth. Along with artist Matt Ryan, we launched the popular line way back in 2013 with icons including Freddy Krueger and Jason Voorhees, but all good things inevitably come to an end.

Eleven years after we originally launched the line, Horror Decor has announced this month that they’re officially discontinuing the “Horror Buddies” line at the end of this year.

The company explains, “We have always tried to come up with something new and exciting that no one else was making. Unfortunately, there are now a lot of other companies doing something similar. Horror Buddies are expensive and time consuming for us to produce as we make them all by hand. While it’s been a good run, the line honestly isn’t exciting for us anymore since there are so many others cranking out similar designs.”

“With that being said,” the statement continues, “you have until the end of 2024 to order any of the Horror Buddies that we currently have available on the site. They will disappear on January 1st, 2025. Thanks to everyone who has supported this line over the past decade.”

In the wake of the original Freddy and Jason “Horror Buddies,” the line grew over the years to include Baby Selwyn from Dead Alive, Seth Brundle from The Fly, Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2, Farmer Vincent from Motel Hell, Uncle Frank from Hellraiser, WolfCop and the characters from The Barn, all of which are still currently available.

You can grab these and other “Horror Buddies” in various different sizes, including backpack clips/Christmas ornaments, now through December 31, 2024. When the calendar turns over to 2025, they’re gone forever. Stock up over on Horror Decor while you still can.

And thanks to everyone who’s purchased their own these past eleven years!
