Fresh off of Emilia Pérez’s four Golden Globe wins, Selena Gomez appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! yesterday, where she spoke about her experience at the awards show and showcased her approach to bridal fashion.
The newly engaged actress was photographed in two white minidresses at the studio. As she arrived, she wore a sleeveless A-line dress, which she paired with white heels.
On the show, she changed into a white blazer and scalloped minidress, which she wore while exiting, too:
During her interview, she revealed her fiancé, Benny Blanco, did not seek the blessing of her Only Murders in the Building co-stars Martin Short and Steve Martin to marry her. “I had a feeling that Marty wasn’t very happy about that,” Gomez quipped, adding, “he just gave us a little bit of jokes here and there.”
Martin, meanwhile, “made sure he sent my assistant an email so my assistant could tell me congratulations. That’s how he communicates.”
The actress also revealed she can be a little “awkward” at awards ceremonies like the Golden Globes.
The shows are more fun “when you have a friend,” she said. “I’m very awkward. ‘I don’t know, should I say hi?’ Sometimes I just insert myself and then it’s just awkward so I’d rather avoid the awkwardness. Yeah, [I sometimes find myself in situations where I wish I hadn’t inserted myself]. There’s like cool actors who come in and I’m like, ‘Yeah, I know, right?’ They’re like, ‘Oh, where’d you come from?’”
Gomez also discussed splitting her time between Emilia Pérez’s and Only Murders in the Building’s tables at the Golden Globes and how she spent the holidays with her and Blanco’s families in New York. Watch her interview below:
