Liam Gallagher Teases 2026 Oasis Activity Despite Shutting Down Prior Rumors

In November, Liam Gallagher definitively confirmed that Oasis would not be active in 2026. Now, however, the musician seems to be back-tracking on his comments, despite previously saying he was “fucking serious.”

After a fan tweeted, “oasis 2025 will officially be over in a day..,” Gallagher commented, “Bring on 2027 I mean 2026 I mean happy easter.”

The comment seems to contradict his claims that Oasis would be on pause in the new year. Last month, when someone asked “Is there gonna be a 2026 tour?” he responded, “NO,” in capital letters. “ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS?” another asked. “YES IM FUCKING SERIOUS,”he responded. “[Is] there gonna be a 2027 tour,” another queried. “Maybe,” he replied.

Although his new assertion is completely non-committal, Gallagher did also reply to a few queries about the band’s future set lists. One fan asked if “Listen Up” would be added to the show. “If we tour again there will be changes to the set list thems the rules,” Gallagher replied. Another fan asked for “Columbia.” Gallagher responded, “Oh it’ll be there if we tour again.”

As it currently stands, the only thing Oasis have on the docket for the future is the release of thefilm being made in conjunction with the reuniontour. The movie was created and produced byPeaky Blindersscribe Steven Knight and directed by Dylan Southern and Will Lovelace, who helmed the 2012 LCD Soundsystem concert filmShut Up and Play the Hits. But the film currently has neither a title, nor a release date, and it’s unclear what kind of format the project will take, or if it’s even considered a documentary. In fact, this week when one fan asked Gallagher about the film, he responded, “What documentary.”
